Customize Tile Dependencies
This page explains the advanced options related to Tile-dependencies (Dependent tiles). If you are new to tile-dependencies, click here to learn about them. The interface for the options can be found in the Chart section of the sidebar as shown below:
Allow multiple selections
By default, you can select one filter at a time from the Master tile. You can modify this behavior by using the Allow multiple selections control. When that control is switched on, you can click multiple elements to apply filters from all the clicked elements. If you want to remove a filter, you can simply click the element again.
- Multiple-selections are not supported in the charts Heat Map and Cross Tab. They can support only single-selection.
- Disabling multiple-selections is not possible in Selection Chart. It always allows multiple-selections.
Reset selection on changes
When viewing a dashboard with tile-dependencies, by default, the previous selection in the Master tile is retained when some changes happen to the tile. The changes include things like changes to the time-filter, an auto-refresh to the dashboard and so on. You can modify this behavior using the Reset selection on changes control. When that control is switched on, the selection is always reset on changes to the tile.
- This control is not supported in Selection Chart
